Evening at Nalen

Regeringsgatan 74, 111 39 Stockholm, Sweden

Nalen, originally called Nationalpalatset, was founded in 1888. From the mid-1930s until the end of the 1960s, Nalen was one of Stockholm’s (and Sweden's) largest cultural arenas and one of the most popular entertainment establishments. The Beatles spent their very first evening in Stockholm (23rd of October, 1963) at Nalen, which then celebrated 75 years as music and dance hall. Some rumors say they even played at Nalen’s scene that day, but there is no evidence to confirm that.

Sadly, the original Nalen building was demolished in 1968. It was completely rebuilt and reopened in 1998. Today it is a concert and conference venue. There is also a fine dining restaurant on premises.
