White Lotus from Hawaii

3900 Wailea Alanui Dr, Kihei, HI 96753, USA

The White Lotus resort chain in the acclaimed HBO series is fictional, but the filming took place at a very real hotel. In crafting this brilliantly dark satire, director Mike White revisited the Hawaiian vacations of his youth, effectively commandeering the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea during the COVID lockdown in 2020. Within this idyllic tropical haven, the filming crew enjoyed unrestricted access to its extensive offerings, encompassing 380 guest rooms and suites, three pools, three restaurants, three golf courses, a spa, and an art museum. It's important to note that the suites were creatively transformed for the production, and the actual staff at the resort maintain a notably higher level of professionalism.
