Tough days at school

C. Comedias, 18, Málaga, Spain

This building housed the College of Saint Raphael, a school where young Pablo Picasso studied. He did not like it, and his biggest fear was that his father would not pick him up after school. For this reason, his father used to give him something of his, so that Pablo would know he would come back. “More than his walking stick, I would have preferred for him to leave me the dove or his paint brushes, because I knew he couldn’t do without those”, Picasso recalled years later.
