Completed in 2017, The Seashells' design by architect Chen Keshi is both bold and innovative, featuring two asymmetrical shells that house the main opera hall and a smaller multifunctional theater. The larger shell, shimmering in the sunlight with its smooth, white exterior, contains the Grand Theatre, which seats over 1,500 guests and boasts cutting-edge acoustics and stage technology. The smaller shell, intimate yet equally impressive, hosts various performances, from chamber music to avant-garde theater, accommodating up to 500 patrons.
The exterior of The Seashells is as captivating as the performances within. At night, the shells are illuminated, casting a magical glow over the waterfront and creating a mesmerizing reflection in the surrounding waters.
