This street art piece by Banksy called “Yellow Lines Flower Painter” was painted on the side of a working man’s club at the corner of Pollard Row and Pollard Street in 2007. It shows a painter in overalls whose job is to paint yellow lines on the pavement, taking a break after painting double yellow lines that turn into a large yellow flower on a wall.
Shortly thereafter, municipal authorities took action to erase the double yellow lines that once stretched across the sidewalk. However, they chose to leave intact both the painter and the flower depicted on the wall, recognizing that these elements were rendered on private property.
As time has passed, Banksy's "Yellow Lines Flower Painter" has endured significant deterioration, marred by graffiti stencils and tags. Regrettably, the painter's image has become scarcely discernible today, largely owing to damaged Perspex and a portion of the wall that was removed. Nonetheless, the resilient flower still proudly remains.
