Known as "Very Little Helps," alternatively referred to as "Tesco Kids," Banksy's mural from 2008 finds its place on Essex Road, North London. Adorning the side of a pharmacy, this artwork captures a poignant scene where three children are depicted solemnly pledging their loyalty to the British retail giant Tesco. Notably, one of the youngsters hoists a Tesco carrier bag aloft on a flagpole. The name itself is a reference to Tesco's famous slogan - “Every Little Helps”. In essence, this image serves as a critical commentary on society's heavy reliance on mass consumerism and multinational corporations. Additionally, Banksy released a print version of "Very Little Helps" in 2008.
Despite a swift application of Perspex to protect it, "Very Little Helps" has faced repeated instances of vandalism and currently bears signs of partial damage. The flag component has been painted over and substituted with a graffiti tag from Robbo, a street artist known for targeting Banksy's works on various occasions.
