La Dolce Vita bar

Via Vittorio Veneto, 150, 00187 Roma RM, Italy

Harry's Bar gained international fame when it was featured in Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. At the time, Cinecittà Studios in Rome attracted a lot of American directors, producers, actors and actresses. Celebrities who used to spend their time in this bar included Federico Fellini himself, Jean Paul Belmondo, Ava Gardner, Marlon Brando, Alberto Sordi, Audrey Hepburn, and Sophia Loren. Anita Ekberg used to come for a drink after shopping in Via Frattina. Frank Sinatra played the bar's piano. Even today, Harry's Bar recreates the atmosphere of the Dolce Vita years and continues to be the heart of Rome glamor. Celebrities like Mel Gibson, Woody Allen, Romina Power, Carla Bruni, Antony Hopkins, Paolo Sorrentino, Claudia Schiffer, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been seen here. The bar was also used as a set for the Oscar award-winning film The Great Beauty by Paolo Sorrentino.
