Soho is Malaga’s centre for street art and underground culture. This district was started as a public initiative, the so-called MAUS project (Málaga Arte Urbano Soho). The aim of the project was to revitalise the neglected and desolated area of the city. It is now supported by the local government and its planning department. As part of the project, various artistic events, exhibitions, and music concerts started coming to Soho. And its most recognizable feature became the large-scale graffiti art which transformed the neighbourhood into a life art gallery. In the streets of Soho you can find works of internationally recognised artists such as Obey, Faith47, Roa and D’Face.
“Made in Soho” Market with stalls selling artisan items, crafts, works of art, antiques, and vintage items is arranged every first Saturday of the month and is definitely worth a visit.
