78, Stora Kvinns Väg, 125 59 Älvsjö, Sweden
The female block, Stora Kvinns, was completed in 1910 and originally was identical to the Stora Mans. During reconstruction after a major fire in 1933 parts of the building were redesigned.
The ground floor had an admission department for the new patients as well as sick rooms for the more demanding patients. In the building's wings there were simpler operating rooms and a smaller residence for on-duty physicians. The first and second floors housed general medical rooms for quieter patients. The halls were bright with large windows in the southwest and with room for up to 8 people in each hall. There were also 16 single rooms for the paying patients. On the top floor, there was a large weaving room for the work therapy. Upstairs there were also rooms for the female staff.

Långbro Hospital had seen some famous female patients. Elisabeth, also known as "Sweden's most dangerous woman" was one of them. A special care building was constructed for her, read the story at https://reveal.world/story/1396
In the 1990s, Stora Kvinns' exterior and interior appeared in several films, including Beck, OP-7 and the feature film 1939. In 2001-2002, the building was renovated and today contains 73 condominiums of various sizes.
