Old village remains

Norrudden, Landsort, Nynäshamn, Sweden

The old Öja village was located on the northern side of the island. Here you can find at least 15 house grounds, remains of boats and fossil fields. Maritime pilots used to live here until the mid 19th century, then most of them moved south to Storhamn. The last pilot moved out around 1910.
