Nobel’s summer house

Here at Björkborn mansion in Karslkoga Alfred Nobel spent summertime during the last years of his life.  He built a laboratory in the vicinity, where powder trials and experiments with artificial rubber and synthetic threads were carried out. The manor has been converted into a museum. The laboratory also still exists and houses an exhibition about Nobel’s experiments.
