Mikael Blomkvist lived in the penthouse of this 17th century building on the hills of the historic Söder district. Several scenes in the Millennium adventure are set here.
Blomkvist managed to buy the 70 m2 apartment inexpensively due to its former owner leaving the country – unbelievable luck in Stockholm's overheated housing market.
Interesting detail: in the Swedish movie “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest” Blomqvist leaves his apartment in Bellmansgatan 1 but steps out into the street from Bellmansgatan 5.
