Former Metronome Studios - now Atlantis Studios - is a very special place. Housed in an old cinema, with equipment from the 1950s and many classic instruments, it is a truly remarkable recording venue that attracted many musicians from across the globe.
Many of ABBA’s early hits, including “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia”, came from Metronome Studios. Interestingly, “Mamma Mia” was recorded twice here - in 1975 when the original song was released, and again - more than 30 years later, in 2007 when the soundtrack to the film “Mamma Mia” was recorded at Atlantis. They even used some of the same equipment and instruments as the original recordings!
