A viewpoint at history of Uppsala

Tunåsen, Gamla Uppsala, Sweden

The hill  is part of the Uppsala ridge and about 30 meters high. When you get up to the top, you are rewarded with fantastic views of Uppsala and surrounding mudflats. To the south you see Uppsala Cathedral in the distance and to the northeast you get a nice view of Gamla Uppsala church. On the western side it is also overlooking the former Uppsala Air Force Wing runways, which tells a tale of the Cold War.

This is a perfect place for a picnic with a view. On the top there is a table and plenty of space for the picnic blanket.
