Denmark Street has been home to half a dozen or more guitar shops. Andy’s Guitar Shop at the far end was perhaps the most famous. It was established in 1978 at No. 27 and survived for almost 30 years.Unfortunately, it was closed down in 2007. Celebrities such as Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Sheryl Crow, Noel and Liam Gallagher and The Offspring have all visited the shop which specialised in rare and vintage guitars.

Now, Hanks Guitar Shop is located at No. 27.
