Bowie’s residence in Berlin

Hauptstraße 155, 10827 Berlin, Germany

David and Iggy lived here

This is where David Bowie lived between 1976 and 1978 with his flatmate Iggy Pop. Bowie used to complain that he did all the shopping while Iggy ate everything up. In between grocery shopping Bowie created his famous Berlin trilogy: “Heroes," "Low" and "Lodger” albums.

The house is now marked by a memorial plaque with a quote from "Heroes": "We can be heroes, just for one day."
